Hood Long guide

Trade with leverage.
Keep the final say.

Hood Long brings token discovery, position planning, risk controls, and wallet confirmation into one focused trading workspace on Robinhood Chain.

01

Your first trade

From token selection to wallet approval in five steps.

  1. Connect your wallet

Choose Connect wallet and switch to Robinhood Chain when prompted.

  2. Choose a token

Search by token name or symbol. Use the address chip beside the symbol to copy and verify the contract.

  3. Set collateral and leverage

Enter the WETH you want to use and choose your leverage. The ticket updates the position value and liquidation price.

  4. Review the order

Check the final price, minimum received, fee estimate, borrowing cost, and liquidation level.

  5. Approve in your wallet

Hood Long prepares the transaction. Nothing is submitted until you approve it in your wallet.

02

Long and short

Choose a direction based on how you expect the token price to move.

Long

A long position gains value when the token price rises and loses value when it falls. WETH is used as collateral and to finance the leveraged purchase.

Short

A short position is designed to gain when the token price falls. Availability is shown directly in the order ticket and may differ by market.

03

Risk and liquidation

Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Know these numbers before every trade.

Liquidation price

The estimated token price at which your remaining equity can no longer support the position. A position that reaches this level may be closed to repay its debt.

Minimum equity

Also called maintenance margin. It is the minimum share of the position that must remain as your equity. Hood Long currently shows this percentage beneath the chart.

Borrow APR

The annualized rate charged on borrowed funds. Interest accrues while the position remains open, so the final repayment grows over time.

Price movement and liquidity

Fast markets can move between review and confirmation. Hood Long refreshes the executable order before wallet approval and applies a minimum-received limit.

A simple rule:Use less leverage when volatility is high, and leave room between the current price and your liquidation price.
04

Managing positions

Monitor exposure and close when your plan changes.

Track

The Positions page shows size, entry, liquidation price, profit and loss, and transaction status.

Close

Choose Review close to see the amount sold, debt repaid, minimum received, and estimated close fee before approving.

Recover

If a transaction is delayed, keep the page open or return later. Hood Long reconciles submitted transactions and updates their final status.

05

Earn with ETH

Supply liquidity directly from your wallet and receive hETH pool shares.

Deposit

Open the Earn tab, choose ETH or WETH, enter an amount, and review the estimated hETH shares. ETH deposits need one wallet transaction; WETH may require an approval first.

Earn

Lenders receive 67% of realized borrowing interest. Share value changes only when pool results are realized on-chain; the interface does not advertise a fixed APY.

Withdraw

Every hETH exit enters a FIFO queue. The keeper can process after 24 hours; if it is unavailable, anyone can process the request after 72 hours. Shares remain exposed to pool gains and losses until processing and can be cancelled beforehand. hETH does not support instant ERC-4626 redemption.

Pool risk:Returns are variable and lender capital can take losses after the protocol-funded first-loss reserve is exhausted.

Frequently asked questions

What does the percentage under “Min. equity” mean?

It is the maintenance margin. If your equity falls below that percentage of the position, the position may be liquidated.

Can Hood Agent execute a trade for me?

No. It can fill a ticket and prepare one or more review screens, but only you can approve the final wallet transaction.

Why did my final price change?

Prices and available liquidity move continuously. Hood Long refreshes the order before confirmation so you can review the current terms.

Why is a direction unavailable?

Trading availability depends on the selected market and available liquidity. The order ticket shows the current status before you enter the review flow.
